Our kitchen brigade really know their stuff...they bring you a menu full to the brim of complimentary flavours, textures and ideas all cooked to order and freshly prepared on the premises. We pride ourselves on our genuine in house prepared and served menu.

SEARED KING SCALLOPS on cauliflower puree, crsipy pancetta and port reduction £9.50

FRENCH ONION SOUP with gruyere cheese croutons £5.95

MARINATED TURKEY CONFIT ROLLS with sweet chilli dip and home made cranberry and orange sauce £7.25

TEMPURA KING PRAWN LOLLIPOPS with pickled ginger and spring onion soba noodles, sesame seeds and wasabi dressing £8.50

GRILLED ASPARAGUS, AVOCADO, PARMESAN AND POACHED EGG SALAD  with crisp lettuce and herb vinaigrette £7.25

CRISPY DEVILLED WHITEBAIT cayenne and paprika seasoning. Lemon aioli £5.95

PORTUGUESE BOLHAO PATO STYLE MUSSELS steamed in lemon, onion, garlic and parsley. Toast £7.95

SEARED BEEF FILLET ROSSINI wrapped in bacon with chicken liver parfait on garlic crouton, waldorf salad and walnut vinaigrette £7.95

CHAMBERS FISH AND CHIPS market caught white fish in local Harveys beer batter. Hand cut chips and tartare sauce £12.95

BOUILLABAISSE PROVENCAL A classic. Monkfish, king prawns, home salted hake, mussels and squid with new potatoes and peas cooked in a saffron, provencal herbs, fennel and tomato broth. Served with grilled toast and Rouille £17.95

PAN ROASTED BREAST OF GUINEA FOWL confit leg, home made French fries, petit pois puree, fine beans and jus £15.50

COQ AU VIN braised half chicken with lardons, baby pearl onions,wild mushrooms, fresh herbs and red Burgundy. Roast garlic mash and winter greens £13.95

MARINATED PORK BELLY CONFIT  with green mash, braised leek and baby carrots, apple sauce, crispy scratchings and whole grain mustard jus £15.95

ROAST LAMB RUMP on a chickpea, spinach and masala curry, fragrant basmati and wild pilaf rice, fresh cucumber raita and naan bread £16.95

PAN FRIED CALVES LIVER served well done with bubble and squeak cake, curly kale, crispy pancetta and red wine jus £14.50

 

Steaks:

All steaks are served with hand cut triple cooked chips, home made french fries or buttered new potatoes:

Please choose either a sirloin (£16) or a fillet steak (£18) and then simply choose from the following accompaniments below:

Bitoque...sliced ham, fried egg and peri peri mayo...add 4.00

Pepper sauce....a rich green peppercorn and cream sauce with a hint of cognac....add 2.50

Classic.....Brighton blue cheese and port sauce.....add 2.95

Forestiere sauce.....a mix of seasonal wild mushrooms with madeira and a touch of cream.....add 3.75

Surf and Turf....part peeled King prawns, crayfish, seared squid and garlic butter.....add 4.50

Beef Wellington

Prime fillet of beef encased in delicious pastry with rich chicken liver paté.served with hand cut chips & tied veg. by pre-order only so please let us know on booking whether you’d like to sample our “wellie” 22.50

RISOTTO FRITTERS OF ROAST BUTTERNUT, BRIGHTON BLUE CHEESE AND CHIVES creamed spinach, cherry tomato and spring onion salsa. Rocket and parmesan shavings £13.50

BAKED SWEET POTATO, BEETROOT AND HORSERADISH ROSTI with grilled asparagus, pea puree, free range poached egg and a truffled wild mushroom cream sauce £12.95

CHAMBERS THALI  chickpea, spinach and masala curry, tarka dhal, basmati and wild pilaf rice, cucumber raita, spicy vegetable salad, naan bread and chutney £13.50
