Our kitchen brigade really know their stuff...they bring you a menu full to the brim of complimentary flavours, textures and ideas all cooked to order and freshly prepared on the premises. We pride ourselves on our genuine in house prepared and served menu.

We're keen to get our hands on some delicious local foraged produce from the hedgerow or from the sea. Ask your server when you next visit what we've been foraging for this week!



Scottish smoked salmon and horseradish scone with cucumber relish and lemon creme fraiche 6.95

English onion, leek and chive soup (v) 5.95

Shredded confit duck rolls  with a sweet plum dip 6.95

Sauteed part peeled prawns with chilli, garlic and coriander on sourdough toast 8.50

Coquille St Jacques....seared King scallops on creamy potato puree, tarragon sauce and gruyere gratin 9.50

Panzanella salad....sunblushed and baby plum tomaotes, capers, peppers and red onion, sourdough bread with fresh basil and tapenade 6.95

Wild mushroom and smoked pancetta fettucine in a white wine and cream sauce, peppery rocket, parmesan shavings and balsamic glaze 6.95

Seared beef fillet rossini wrapped in bacon with chicken liver parfait on garlic crouton, Waldorf salad and walnut vinaigrette 7.95

Chambers fish & chips market caught white fish fillet in local Harveys beer batter. Hand cut chips & Chambers tartare sauce 12.50

Gressingham duck breast cooked medium with sweet potato fries, curly kale, home made ratatouillie chutney and reduced balsamic glaze 15.50

Braised lamb shank in red wine, tomato and rosemary. Mashed potatoes, seasonal greens and home made root vegetable crisps 15.50

Stuffed chicken breast with parma ham, spinach and smoked mazzarella, home made french fries, fine beans and Bourguignon sauce 13.95

Game Stew....pheasant, venison and wood pigeon with pancetta, baby onions and red Burgundy sauce served with horseradish and chive mash and curly kale 15.95

Slow cooked pork belly confit marinated with our favourite spices, potato dauphinoise, tenderstem broccoli, crispy scratchings, apple sauce and red wine jus 14.95

Seabass fillet and king prawns thai green curry home made and spicy with mixed peppers and coconut, fragrant jasmine rice, tenderstem broccoli and tofu with sweet tamari dressing 15.95



All steaks are 7 oz/200 grams and served with hand cut triple cooked chips, home made french fries or buttered new potatoes:


Please choose either a sirloin (£16) or a fillet steak (£18) and then simply choose from the following accompaniments below:


Parisian sauce....Bearnaise and watercress...add 1.75

Pepper sauce....a rich green peppercorn and cream sauce with a hint of cognac....add 2.50

Classic.....Brighton blue cheese and port sauce.....add 2.95

Forestiere sauce.....a mix of seasonal wild mushrooms with madeira and a touch of cream.....add 3.50

Surf and Turf....part peeled King prawns, crayfish, seared squid and garlic butter.....add 4.50

Halloumi, portobello mushroom and courgette brochettes in lemon and thyme marinade with quinoa tabouleh, roast peppers salad, cucumber relish and flat bread 12.95

Home made spicy falafel burger on toasted pitta with with greek salad, tzatziki and home made french fries 12.95

Risotto fritter of butternut squash, mozzarella, smoked paprika and chive with spinach, pea puree, poached free range egg and truffled wild mushroom cream sauce  (v) 11.95
